Nature themed flagship plane for Surinam Airways

Suriname’s national carrier, Surinam Airways, teamed up with Forest93 to create international awareness on Suriname’s abundance of nature. The new Boeing 777 flagship, which went into commercial operation in February 2020, was therefore decorated in a nature theme. The Boeing’s tail has an aerial view of Suriname’s forest cover and is accompanied by the campaign slogan 93% forest, 100% Surinamese. In principal, the plane will operate between Suriname and Europe.

What do you choose? Petition for environmental legislation.

Under the question: what is your choice? A campaign was launched around environmental and nature legislation. The campaign consists of newspaper ads, billboards around Paramaribo, Facebook posts, press releases and a video which ask people what they choose: a clean and nature rich environment or a damaged and filthy environment? Consequently, people are asked to sign an online petition to show their support for the need for new environmental and nature legislation.

Reggae band Third World on World Tour in Suriname

Third World landed in Paramaribo as part of their 45-year anniversary world tour. The legendary reggae band headlined the 1st edition of the Urban Heritage & Art Festival on September 7th, 2019 in Paramaribo, as part of a series of purpose driven concerts in the greenest country on earth. While they were here, they visited Suriname’s abundance of nature and reflected with presenter Peter “Double U” Waterberg on their career, their music and life in general. The documentary was powered by Forest93.

Project Launch at the Urban Heritage & Art Festival

The Forest93 campaign was launched at September 6&7, 2019 at the 1st edition of the Urban Heritage & Art Festival in Paramaribo, Suriname. Legendary reggae band Third World headlined the festival, other artists were Benjamin Faya, Canela de Cuba. The video is a short impression of the launch event. Soft Launch of the campaign at the Amazonemarkt Suriname

What is the value of nature to you? What should be our national animal or tree? What should we do to keep 93% forest cover? These were the survey questions we asked during the soft launch of our campaign slogan: 93% forest, 100% Surinamese. Amazonemarkt Suriname is the showcase event of indigenous art, culture and entrepreneurship in Paramaribo’s Palm Garden during the National Indigenous Day celebrations (August 9th). Forest93 set up a totem to collect data and familiarize the public with the campaign slogan.
